Our Christmas appeal commences door-to-door on November 1st
Dun Laoghaire Lions Club is fundraising to provide a serenity and therapy garden at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoghaire. An auction – which raised thousands of euro – was held in the Graduate on October 20th. The President of Dun Laoghaire Lions Club Maureen Gibson said that the success of the auction was “amazing and far beyond what I had hoped for. It certainly gives us a good kick start on what will be a long road of fundraising ahead.”

The President of Dun Laoghaire Lions Club Maureen Gibson presents a Certificate of Excellence, on behalf of the Club, to 10-year-old Flossie Donnelly at a recent meeting of the Club. Flossie has been devoting every Friday evening of the summer to conducting a clean-up of the shore around Sandycove, supported by a team of volunteers. Clean-ups will continue, weather permitting, on the first Saturday of each month during the winter.
